A Saturday in March

The 10:00 o'clock rush is just arriving. We can set our clocks by this crowd.

Local farmer Jack Aitchison was bringing this pumpkin in for Wayne, who proposes to harvest the seed for this year's planting.

And here's Wayne with his booty!

-------------------------------------------

We have a new vendor this year in Marlene MacInnes, who is selling mittens made from old sweaters. She calls her business Re-Mittens.

Marlene finds old wool sweaters at the used clothing stores, and she washes and felts them and then cuts them up to make the mittens. She says that she can usually get 3 or 4 pairs per sweater, and she finds uses of the cuffs and neckbands and waists as well.

Here's Marcus from Casson Family Farm dealing with one of his regular customers.

Marcus still has lots of good winter vegetables in stock.

Of course, Marcus can't manage all of his business by himself so he has Ryan help out with the cash.

See you at the market!
